2021 Sven Joschke ‘La Adeline’ Rosé, Barossa Valley

‘Let nature do the talking' is a great slogan for this project created by Sven Joschke. Sven was born and raised in Adelaide Hills but didn't catch the wine bug until quite recently. It took him 15 years of being an accountant to realise that being in an office the all day wasn't for him, so he decided to be a winemaker and after making wine in Jura, France, he decided to come back home and work for a few great producers before making wines on his own.

 Why do we like it?

This is a rosé wine composed of Mourvedre, Grenache and Cinsault. Fruit is all handpicked, crushed and co-macerated until plenty of colour, tannin is extracted – just enough for a beautiful, coloured rose. Wine is pressed and let be for 6 months in neutral oak. No fining or filtration. This is one of the best rosé made in Australia we have tried this year! We recommend you chill the wine well, to about 10 degrees. This wine is ready to drink and will be at its best over the next couple of years.
