In the heart of Soave at Le Battistelle, in century old vineyards and in basaltic steep slopes of volcanic origin, grows the delicious grape of Soave, Garganega. The Roccolo del Durlo is situated in the Classico area, or in other words, the best part of the region. Traditionally the grapes of Le Battistelle would be sold to the cooperative. That is until 2002, when they finally realised they could begin something very serious and vinify the wine themselves. From here, only 9 hectares, wine of outstanding quality is made.
Why do we like it?
This wine reveals an intense perfume that combines aromas of peach, apricot, and a beautiful aroma of ripe spring citrus. The palate is more floral, with a long and persistent mineral contrast, given by the excellent exposure, and of course the volcanic origin of the soils.
