Haddow & Dineen’s is where cheesemaker Nick Haddow and winemaker Jeremy Dineen craft small-batch Tasmanian wines. Since 2017, their Yorktown vineyard, with its white quartz gravel, and a Sorell site, yield intense fruit. Their “maximum consideration” philosophy, blending art and restraint, creates wines that feel like Tasmania’s wild heart in a bottle.
Why do we like it?
The Sehnsucht Riesling, from Sorell’s old vines, is hand-picked, wild-fermented, and barrel-aged, unfined. Aromas of crisp apple, lime, and floral notes, with racy acidity and subtle minerality. It’s vibrant, elegant, like a brisk Tasmanian dawn, leaving a clean, lingering finish that beckons another sip.
