Mount Mary was founded by John and Marli Middleton in 1971. It is still a family owned, single vineyard estate located in the heart of the Yarra Valley and is now run by their son, Sam Middleton.
Mount Mary just make great wines. From their Pinot Noir, which is incredibly perfumed, to their Cabernet blends that have plenty richness and depth. From their Chardonnay to the Sauvignon Blanc blends, every single bottle is worth a buy.
Why do we like it?
The Triolet is a classic white Bordeaux blend made of 66% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Semillon and 10% Muscadelle. Barrel fermented and seasoned by oak for 11 months. It's sumptuous, with a touch of citrus, nashi pear, and guava and a delicate note of passionfruit and seashell. The palate is light and fresh, yet shows impressive flavour persistence. It's a wine with excellent aging potential.
