Ökonomierat Rebholz, located in the Pfalz region of Germany stands as a esteemed name in the realm of German wines. Hansjörg Rebholz's is an acclaimed winemaker in the world of wine. Renowned for its unwavering commitment to precision and purity. Rejecting chaptalization, de-acidification, and malolactic fermentation, Rebholz strives to offer a pure translation of vintage and terroir. Now held by the 3rd generation, the style of house is characterized by bone-dry, crystal-clear, and pure wines. With access to exceptional vineyard sites on diverse soils, they produce a wide range of wines, prominently featuring Riesling, top-tier Pinot Blancs, focused Spätburgunders, and exquisite Sekts. These wines undergo minimal intervention, aging on fine lees until bottling, and are bottled with minimal fining and filtration, often retaining elevated CO2 levels. The result is a collection of intense and mineral wines capable of extended aging.

Why do we like it?

Weissburgunder is the synonym for Pinot Blanc in Germany and it has become the country's second great white variety, after Riesling. Some of the very best examples come from the Pfalz as it prefers warmer sites. Rebohlz makes a stunning expression which boasts subtle yellow stone fruit, fresh apple and a floral hint of orange blossom. The texture is gentle with an elegant finish, it all harmonises into an alluring roundness, with everything integrating beautifully.
