Now held by the 3rd generation, the style of house is characterized by bone-dry, crystal-clear, and pure wines. With access to exceptional vineyard sites on diverse soils, they produce a wide range of wines, prominently featuring Riesling, top-tier Pinot Blancs, focused Spätburgunders, and exquisite Sekts. These wines undergo minimal intervention, aging on fine lees until bottling, and are bottled with minimal fining and filtration, often retaining elevated CO2 levels. Why do we like it?
Weissburgunder is the synonym for Pinot Blanc in Germany and it has become the country's second great white variety, after Riesling. Some of the very best examples come from the Pfalz as it prefers warmer sites.
