I Vigneri Winery, situated on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily, is a testament to the rich winemaking heritage of the region. Why do we like it?
The Etna Rosso comes from high density vineyard on Etna's north side at 700 m. The wine is a blend of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio. Fermented by indigenous yeast without temperature control and bottled unfiltered. Quite concentrated, almost dark ruby, just as Salvo loves his amazing wines from the Etna to be. It shows a narrow orange-tinged rim with dried cherries, Asian exotic spice and rosehip tea. It’s super fine and savoury. Savo’s wines are truly unique and distinct with so much personality.
