Envínate is one of the most exciting names in modern Spanish wine — a collective of four young winemaker friends working across some of the country's most extreme and unusual terroirs, including the volcanic vineyards of the Canary Islands. Their "Vinos Atlánticos" project focuses on Tenerife, where ancient, ungrafted vines grow in black volcanic soil at high altitude, producing wines unlike anything else in Spain.
Why do we like it?
Migan is sourced from old, low-yielding vines grown on Tenerife's volcanic slopes, made with minimal intervention to let the singular terroir shine through. Expect bright red and black fruit, a distinct volcanic, smoky minerality, and a saline, savoury edge that you simply don't find in mainland Spanish reds.
