Main & Cherry is a family winery in the Adelaide Hills, founded by Michael Sexton on the family's original vineyard planted in 1996. Michael farms with a light touch, favouring Indian Runner ducks over pesticides and a small basket press over modern machinery, with a focus on Mediterranean and alternative varieties suited to South Australia's warm, sun-drenched climate.
Why do we like it?
Sourced from Kersbrook in the northern Adelaide Hills, this Fiano is highly aromatic and full of life — think ripe pear, citrus blossom and a saline twist, with bright, energetic acidity that keeps the palate fresh from first sip to last. A slow, gentle fermentation and time in older French oak give the wine real texture without weighing it down. A genuinely exciting, characterful white from one of the region's most distinctive small producers.
