Why do we like it?
The Savage Red 2020 is coming from a small 0.38-hectare organic vineyard on sandy gravel soil with maritime influence and plenty of wind. A pure Syrah which exemplifies the power and richness that characterize Duncan’s wines. This flagship red undergoes extended bottle aging, allowing its complexity to shine. The wine presents an aromatic profile with expressive notes of lavender, ripe red plum, blackberry and rosemary/thyme nuances. The palate is broad and elegantly textured, displaying sweet black fruits, meaty complexity, and a mineral finish.
